Did you know there are a ton of programs at CCRI that can help you manage your classes, stress, and point you in the right direction? Learn what resources are available on campus and what trade, certificate and associate degree programs CCRI offers. Open to anyone, recommended for ages 17 and up.

Getting the most out of your four years

Learn about study tips, which high school classes are required for graduation or for college, and why extra-curricular activities are so important. Guidance Counselors from Pawtucket, Liz Fasteson and Roberta King, will give you suggestions for advocating for yourself and other "secrets for success" so you can be successful in high school and whatever comes next. Open to anyone, recommended for ages 14-16

You've Got Skills

It's never too early to start thinking about your career

Do you know how to fill out a job application? Are you aware of apprenticeship and internship programs that can get you into a job in a field you're interested in? SkillsRI will fill you in on how you can start now to get into the job market and learn the skills you need to be successful. Open to anyone, recommended for ages 14-18

Secure the Bag

Get hired, and don't get fired

Learn what it takes to get a job, where to find jobs, and how to manage working life so you can keep your job and be successful. Job recruiters from Greysmith Companies will give you all the tips and tricks you need to put your job goals into action. Open to anyone, recommended for ages 18 and up

Making Money Moves

Keep your wallet thick and a roof over your head

Find out the best ways to make your money work for you and how to find and keep an apartment. Learn about bank accounts, how to not run out of money before your next paycheck, what your rights are as a tenant, and how to get along with your landlord. Presented by Sam Albert and BankRI. Open to anyone, recommended for ages 17 and up

A talk with a Providence police officer

Hear how Deanna Johnson went from being a kid in foster care to joining the police force to protect and serve her community. Officer Johnson will talk about how you and the police can be allies and work together to make your community a safe and welcoming place. Open to anyone, recommended for any age

Beauty in Words

Writing poetry as a way to reimagine your world

Poetry is a form of writing that allows you to break the rules and get creative with language. Learn how you can reimagine your world through words that paint pictures and make music. Learn poetry as a way to express yourself, develop your dreams, and work through problems. You'll leave with workshop with pointers, paper, and a first draft of a poem. Open to anyone, recommended for any age 

Creative Calisthenics

Get up and get creative

Use art-making to harness the power of creative expression and get "on the same canvas." The goal of this program, run by Stephanie Pezzone of PeaceLove Studios, is to have fun, get out of your comfort zone, and explore different ways of connecting and communicating with others - and yourself. Open to anyone, recommended for any age

Everette Dance Performance 

The stage is yours!

Join Everett artists for an hour of dancing and improvisational theater. We will play fun games and learn the basics of improv theater. We will also teach a short dance demo and end with an open dance circle. You will learn about the classes we offer for FREE at Everett and other opportunities to get involved at our organization. Open to anyone, recommended for ages 10 and up.
